Literature for Liberty
The Nile Institute of Economic Studies will be hosting it’s first annual Literature for Liberty Program in Khartoum, Sudan. The program is designed to engage promising students who are interested in learning about classical liberalism and who are looking to develop their understanding of economics in an open-discussion format. This year’s program will be focused on providing an introduction to the fundamental ideals of classical liberalism and will be highlighting the remarkable work of Ayn Rand.
We are looking for current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as students who have recently completed their university studies. We ask that students that are interested in participating in the Literature for Liberty Program demonstrate a solid academic record, an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as passion, humility and integrity. Students that have a strong command of the English language and that have an educational background in economics, political philosophy, or public policy are strongly encouraged to apply. All interested parties are required to submit a resume, a 1-2 page essay on what economic and social developments they would like to see take place in Sudan in the next 10 years, as well as what they believe their role in these developments should be.
